SOCIAL IMPACT STRATEGY 2025 - 2027
We believe basketball is a powerful vehicle for social change. Basketball brings us together, uniting our diverse community around a love of the game. In uncertain times, it offers something to believe in, a sense of hope that, by dreaming big and working together, we can make a difference.
As a professional sporting club, basketball provides a platform through which we can contribute to a range of social development outcomes.
Our first Social Impact Strategy, Believe & Belong, provides a framework through which we aim to harness the power of basketball for the benefit of all Western Australians.
BELIEVE & BELONG
IMPACT DOMAINS
Across our four impact domains, we will give back to the WA community in ways that generate lasting change and enable everyone to experience the joy of basketball.
1.
BELONGING BEYOND
THE COURT
Create a family-friendly and inclusive environment that brings our diverse community together, building a sense of belonging and pride in our community and culture.
2.
INSPIRING THE NEXT GEN
Inspire children and young peple to dream big, make healthy choices and aspire to be the best version of themselves.
3.
CHAMPIONING COMMUNITY
Give back through social impact partnerships, which celebrate community contribution and improve the lives of West Australians.
4.
GROWING THE GAME
Advocate for investment in basketball infrastructure and support inclusive pathways for basketball participation to ensure everyone can experience the joy of the game.

For Wildcats fans, Believe & Belong means more chances to connect with the team and each other, to be part of events that reflect the club’s values, and to know that supporting the Wildcats also means helping create positive change. It’s about making sure being part of the Red Army is as much about community as it is about competition.
